Facilitating Team
Gather Movement works with a town or city by invitation and welcome, developing friendships and trust as we serve together – there for the long-haul because we believe in the long-term journey. We love to tell the stories of town and city transformation to encourage and inspire and provide a safe space for shared learning, together.

Roger Sutton
Roger co-founded Gather Movement with his late wife Lesley and now serves as CEO and leader of Global Cities Alliance.
He previously led Altrincham Baptist Church for 22 years and co-chaired Trafford Partnership board, including its Covid crisis response group.
Roger has four grown-up children.

Andy Frost
Andy’s role includes bringing together lots of the London borough unity groups and 35 different organisations based in the capital. Lots of initiatives are done under the banner of the London Mission Collective.
Andy is also part of the Gather Movement Leadership Team.
Andy is married to Jo and they have two young daughters.

mark cowling
Mark joined Gather Movement in 2022 as National Coordinator for Movement for Recovery and also serves on the Leadership Team.
Formerly an Anglican minister in the North West, he helped establish and lead a church unity movement in Bolton.
Mark is married to Rachel, and they have three children who are beginning to fly the nest.

Kay Grieves
Kay joined the Gather Movement team in 2020 as Operations Director. Kay previously worked in project and programme management within the technology and environmental consultancy sectors.
She is part of the Gather Movement Leadership Team.
She is married to Chris and they have two teenage children.

Dave King
Dave heads up prayer strategy for the Gather Movement team and the wider movement.
Dave is also director of Kingdom Voice in Salford where he has lived and ministered for many years.
He is married to Karen and they have a daughter called Lizzie, who’s married to John.

Andy Mulcock
Andy is our South West Regional Connector with a deep passion for unity across the church.
He leads “ONE for Exeter” and serves as chair of a Devon-wide Multi- Academy Trust and director of South West Youth Ministries.
Andy is married to Karena, has two grown-up children.

Ian Rutherford
Ian is City Centre Minister at Methodist Central Hall, Manchester, and leads on Homelessness and Housing for the Movement for Recovery team.
He also serves in key roles across Greater Manchester, including homelessness, food security, and Citizens UK. Ian is passionate about Jesus and justice.
He’s married to Joanna, and they have three children.

Steve Botham
Steve Botham supports Gather Movement and serves as Midlands Regional Connector, focusing on prayer and workplace ministry.
Formerly Chief Exec of Caret Consulting and Head of Training and Development at Volvo, he also directed the World Prayer Centre in Birmingham.
Steve is married to Carol, with two grown-up children, and brings a passion for spiritual renewal across regions and sectors.

Sam, our Yorkshire Regional Connector, is passionate about churches, charities, schools, and local government working together for their communities. Since 2019 she’s been with Netmakers, chairs Shine West Bowling, helps lead Kairos Network Church, and is married to Richard with two teenage daughters.

He now works as a consultant and coach in intercultural competence.
Based in Manchester, Osoba is passionate about unity across cultures and is a proud father of three children.

Chris Duffett
Chris is an artist, evangelist, and former Baptist Union president with a passion for unity and sharing the Christian faith.
He co-founded The Light College and Collective and writes on faith sharing, including a novel about Philip the evangelist.

Sian Wade
Trustee
Sian is an Assemblies of God minister who has been leading Bridge Church in Lincoln for over 18 years with her husband Dave. She helped to pioneer Transform Lincoln, the unity movement in the city of Lincoln 8 years ago and is actively involved in a number of city partnerships connecting the Church to the health sector as well as local government. They have three children and also foster children in the care of the local authority.

Dave Kirby

Dave has worked in Sales and Marketing for most of his career in a variety of industries, with over 15 of this as a Sales/Marketing Director. He is a Governor and the Finance Lead at his local school. He is a member of Altrincham Baptist Church and is married to Alison with two grown up children.

Steve has been Senior Pastor at Oxford Community Church since 2005, having arrived in Oxford as an undergraduate student, when he joined OCC. He also leads the Love Oxford unity team.

Alan, previously part of Transform Reading leadership team, is a connector and kingdom catalyst, building cross-sector partnerships to tackle social challenges, from youth unemployment to loneliness, through local, national, and international initiatives.

Simon Barrington
Simon, former CEO of Samaritan’s Purse UK, now leads Forge Leadership, developing leaders, after an earlier career in telecommunications and relief work.

Joy Blundell
Alongside her husband Paul, Joy is Location Pastor of Alive Lincoln North. She has a heart for the restoration and transformation of cities through the mobilisation of the local church.

Simon Hawking
Simon is CEO of Acts Trust, founded by Alive Church Lincoln in 2006, is author of 5D’s of Community Transformation and passionate about thriving communities.

Adrian Nottingham
Adrian, former Mustard Tree CEO, now leads Reach Stockport. A systems leadership specialist, he also serves as a councillor and was Mayor of Stockport 2021-2022.
